The 49th Annual Castro Street Fair is Sunday, October 1, 2023. The Castro Street Fair is a community street celebration that was founded by Harvey Milk in 1974. The Fair is located in the heart of San Francisco’s Castro District, at the intersection of Market & Castro Streets and the surrounding area. Hundreds of local artists, vendors, craftspeople, and organizations line the streets and celebrate the diversity of the neighborhood. Stages with live entertainment and dance stages can be found throughout the fairgrounds. The latest edition of the annual Santa Skivvies Run fundraiser was held on Sunday, December 8, 2019 to raise money for the San Francisco AIDS Foundation. The fundraiser features tons of daring participants getting sponsors to donate in exchange for stripping down to their holiday-themed undies and braving a cold mile-long run through the Castro. Participants gathered on Noe at Market, outside of the LookOut where the Castro Farmers Market is held in warmer times of the year.
