Sister’s Easter: Back to Our Old Habits!

The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence are happy to announce that they are bringing their annual Easter Celebration back to Dolores Park on Sunday, April 17th, after a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic. The 43rd-anniversary celebration kicks off with Children’s Easter from 10 to noon, followed by the main event from noon to 4pm. Hunky Jesus Contest moves online

For 25 years, the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence has held an annual Easter celebration that includes an egg hunt for children, an Easter bonnet competition, fabulous drag and non-drag performances, and the annual highlight: a Hunky Jesus and Foxy Mary contest. The event is traditionally held at Dolores Park, but was briefly moved to Golden Gate Park when their home park was being renovated, and at least once was moved to the Eureka Valley Rec & Park Center because of rain.
