Primary Colors at The Edge

Join San Francisco’s Mardi Gras-inspired fundraising organization, the Krewe de Kinque, for their Primary Colors Party on Saturday, January 18, 2020 at The Edge in the Castro.

The event, produced by KDK Member Diana Wheeler, will be raising funds for the KDK’s Bal Masque XVII beneficiary Compton’s Transgender Cultural District, as well as registering voters at the event and outside of the bar.

Serving as MCs will be Kit Tapata (KDK Queen X Kitty Tapata) and Sister Agnes of the Sisters of Perpetal Indulgence.

Attenders are encouraged to dress festive (red, white & blue!) and are invited to take the stage for an open show, partake in the $10 beer & soda bust, buy raffled tickets for a chance to win great prizes, and suck down some patriotic Jell-O shots.

Mixing the beats will be KDK King XII Joe Prince Wolfe (Go BANG!) while KDK King XIV Barry Miles will be at the door offering the $10 Beer/Soda Bust. (Please turn in performance music to the DJ before the show starts at 5:00 p.m.) Performers to date include KDK Queen XVI Kelly Rose, KDK King XVI Aja Monet-Ashton, KDK Queen XV Miss Chief, & KDK King II Mark Paladini (more to follow.)

Please contact Diana Wheeler if you’d like to perform, volunteer to sell raffle tickets or Jell-O shots, help register voters, or donate a raffle prize.

Proceeds support the mission of the Compton’s Transgender Cultural District: to create an urban environment that fosters the rich history, culture, legacy, and empowerment of transgender people and its deep roots in the southeastern Tenderloin neighborhood. The transgender district aims to stabilize and economically empower the transgender community through ownership of homes, businesses, historic and cultural sites, and safe community spaces.
