After being on hiatus for several years due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Broadway Bares SF is finally back and will be holding auditions soon for their next show.
Broadway Bares SF, a spin-off from the long-running Broadway Bares fundraiser in New York, is a thematic burlesque/strip-tease show that fundraises for AIDS-related charities. The New York show, which was founded in 1992 by Jerry Herman, enlists Broadway performers to raise money for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.
The San Francisco event fundraises for the Richmond/Ermet Aid Foundation. The theme for this year is “Fairy Tales…with a twist!” featuring a series of dances with lead characters based on some of your Fairy Tale characters. At the end of the show, dancers return to the stage where guests can tip them to add to the fundraiser’s proceeds.
Auditions will be held on Saturday, April 16, 2022.
