Juanita More’s Pride Party

Juanita MORE!’s annual Pride Party is the most anticipated event during Pride month in San Francisco. This year will mark the 19th year throwing the biggest party in the City. Miss MORE! continues to raise the bar with this annual non-profit Pride extravaganza. It focuses on supporting some of SF’s most impactful organizations. Over the year’s Juanita’s efforts have raised over $1 million dollars for the LGBTQ+ community.

“As my annual Pride Party beneficiary this year, I have chosen Queer LifeSpace, a San Francisco-based mental health nonprofit serving the LGBTQIA+ community. They have invested in keeping our community healthy with effective, affordable mental health and substance abuse services. They serve clients from all walks of life regardless of their ability to pay in a safe, non-judgmental environment for fellow members of the queer community.”

Events

Morning: People’s March & Rally (11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.)

We will gather at Polk & Washington Streets at 10:30 AM, with the People’s March & Rally led by an all-Black and Brown committee of queer and trans community leaders, artists, and performers. We will gather at Polk Street and Washington, taking the original route of the first Pride Parade, demanding fundamental human rights for our community. We stand in unwavering solidarity with our BIPOC communities — trans, cisgender, nonbinary; lesbian, gay, straight, queer, questioning, two-spirit, and all.

Day: Pride Party at 620 Jones (12:00 noon – 7:00 p.m.)

Since 2012, Miss MORE! has hosted her annual Pride Party at 620 Jones – which adjoins one of San Francisco’s stunning historic landmark buildings built in 1929, the venue features a striking indoor/outdoor event space complete with four bars, two levels, and an expert sound system ensuring the party goes all day and night. The rooftop at Jones boasts one of Juanita’s absolute favorite views of the heart of Downtown San Francisco.

Evening: Halcyon (6:00 p.m. – late)

Halcyon is a high-energy, carefree, idyllic spot with a modern warehouse vibe in the SoMa District neighborhood of San Francisco. The structure is a converted early 1900s SOMA brick and steel-beamed warehouse with massive skylights and high ceilings. Plus, a rare 24-hour license allows the club to host marathon events unlike any currently in San Francisco. Tickets

Queer LifeSpaceFounded in 2011, Queer LifeSpace (QLS) is a nonprofit counseling agency that provides affordable, evidence-based mental health and substance abuse services to the LGBTQIA+ community in the Bay Area, in addition to running an internationally-recognized clinical training program for the next generation of queer-affirming therapists. At QLS, we strive to serve the underserved and are passionate about providing services to clients from all walks of life, regardless of their ability to pay. Above all, we prioritize providing a safe, non-judgmental environment for fellow members of the queer community.

The mission and formation of Queer LifeSpace began with the shared vision of its four founding directors to bring quality, long-term, and affordable mental health and substance abuse care to the Bay Area queer community. The founders became friends and colleagues while working together at New Leaf Services, which had to close its doors in October 2010 after 35 years of serving the LGBTQIA+ community.
