Absolute Empress XXX Donna Sachet is bringing back her drag brunch in August, this time at the legendary Club Fugazi in North Beach.
Club Fugazi had been the longtime home of Beach Blanket Babylon, a San Francisco mainstay for decades. It currently shows the acrobatic performance show “Dear San Francisco.” The drag brunches will not disrupt “Dear San Francisco.”
Per the San Francisco Chronicle:
Beloved San Francisco drag queen Donna Sachet plans to bring back her signature cabaret show, “Sunday’s a Drag,” to Club Fugazi in North Beach starting Aug, 6 for the first time since 2020, she told The Chronicle in an exclusive interview.
Previously, the show had a 15-year brunch time run at Harry Denton’s Starlight Room at the Sir Francis Drake Hotel. Sachet’s last performance of the show was in March 2020, before the coronavirus pandemic shutdown.

The brunches will be held on Sundays in August. If successful, Sachet plans to bring it back as a year-round event starting in January.
